My love of Somatic Experiencing and the gifts it has given me fuels my practice in helping others to resolve their own trauma. Specifically, I believe the power of touch in relation to healing to be of the utmost importance. I am most interested in working together to facilitate a feeling of safety, empowerment and self regulation for the nervous system. I have been a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and Biodynamic Craniosacral therapist for the past 10 years and have a private practice. I held an SE Practitioner position at Sabino Recovery for over 3 years. Prior to that I worked at Sierra Tucson for a year. I have studied meditation, yoga and qigong for the past 13 years. My meditation studies have been in the Tibetan Buddhist, Theravada and Zen traditions. I occasionally teach classes at local yoga studios. Also, I have a BA from Prescott College in Human Development with a focus in Somatic Arts and have completed a 300 hour yoga teacher training. I am an assistant to the Somatic Experiencing Professional Trainings. I am also trained in Somatic Experiencing Touch through my teacher Kathy Kain. I am committed to supporting your nervous system’s health and regulation.
