Barbara Collier is a former ICU nurse, a licensed professional counselor, and somatic experiencing practitioner. Her training includes post-graduate studies in Dr. Stanley Greenspan, Collaborative Counseling and Collaborative leadership certification with Antioch University, Attachment across a lifespan, biographical and narrative counseling, Equine Facilitated Learning, Equine Facilitated Mental Health, infant mental health, trauma and Somatic Experiencing and Somatic Touch. Barbara is also a grief coach, and is trained in shame resiliency. She is as co-founder of a non-profit Equinimity, Inc., that is dedicated to serving vulnerable populations with trauma informed somatic practices, movement, creative expression and experientials and EASE (Equine Assisted Somatic Experiencing) to build resilience and capacity, as well as nervous system regulation, presence and connection.

Barbara also offers Equine Assisted Somatic Experiencing (EASE) sessions to individuals, families and group. In an effort to bring trauma healing into the community and in affordable / accessible ways, Equinimity offers a variety of online and in-person somatic practice groups in addition to ways people can drop in and Be With horses and Nature. Barbara has studied with Kathy Kain, has trained in all her offerings: Somatic Resilience and Regulation, Touch Skills Training, Somatic Narrative, Somatics of Emotions parts 1&2, Making Friends with Your Brain, Coupling Dynamics. Barbara has also competed the Eye of the Needle training with Dr. Peter Levine as well as other Master Classes offered by Dr. Levine.
