I believe that healing is the foundation of self-inquiry. We each seek the relational safety necessary to work on our challenges in a way that increases our self-awareness and embodied resiliency. As a practitioner of many modalities, including Somatic Experiencing (SE™) and Oriental Medicine, my approach to clients is humanistic and includes frameworks that support the lived understanding of healing and change. My background in indigenous healing traditions, Western and Eastern body centered therapies has offered direct insight into how the human body is affected by psychosocial processes that can manifest into illnesses that can become chronic over time.
I have had an existing private practice for over two decades. I approach somatic therapies from a meta-disciplinary approach. Practices are drawn from nature based therapies, shamanism, meditation and mindfulness. Creating a container of safety and non-judgment are at the core of my practice. Person-centered therapy that supports a reciprocal and participatory process to support the client in their own insights. The foundation and ethics of my practice are to support the safety necessary to invite authenticity as a catalyst for transformation – that is both self empowering and sustainable – for the client.
Prior to working with private clients, I came from the business world where I focused on emotional intelligence, non-violent communication, restorative practices, and social-emotional competencies to support work cultures where individuals could thrive. I continue my work as a certified conscious consultant in business, with the aspiration to change our societies and create the interconnectedness that is missing in our world. I work with leaders and executives interested in becoming well rounded in their efforts to connect and make impact.
I am a certified trainer in emotional intelligence, mindfulness, cognitive based compassion training and other frameworks that support self awareness practices at home and at work.
Sessions include an integrative approach that includes dreamwork, psycho-somatic techniques, and indigenous healing traditions that are trauma-informed.
