Consultant-Practitioner-Educator, Group Facilitator, Artist. My SE journey began in 2005 with some 30 personal SE sessions with one of only two SE Practitioners in Tucson, Arizona at that time. My own professional SE training began in 2009 with the first Tucson SE training and cohort. I have been an active SE training Assistant since 2012. I have trained with, and assisted, SE Trainers: Steve Hoskinson, Berns Galloway, Joshua Sylvae, and Raja Selvam. In my practice, I work as a trauma-informed consultant. I work primarily with men. In addition to my relatively recent Masters in Counseling Psychology (2012) and my Bachelors in Human Development (2010) I also have broad, diverse, and specialized training and experience in working with dreams and nightmares, with our internal experience of gender and sexuality, with sexual abuse and betrayal (especially among men), with collective and inter-generational traumas, with religiosity and cult experiences, and with pre-birth, birth, and early life. I have been facilitating Systemic Family Constellations since 2009. My approach with clients is relational and inter-subjective. My influences from depth psychology are as significant to my practice as my somatic training. I no longer do hands-on work professionally, but my work has been deeply informed by a grand array of body therapies over the last 40+ years. I founded a center in Central Philadelphia in my twenties called Breath of Life where I made my living as a breath worker, counselor, and workshop leader. I have also taught young children in three independent schools that were all three related directly, or indirectly, to the Free School Movement of the 1960s and 1970s. And – quite to my amazement – I owned and managed a unique and wonderful home furnishings business in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware for 18 years before returning to the Sonoran Desert in 2004. I am an accomplished abstract painter. I have a strong contemplative background related directly to Hinduism and to Christianity – and I am ever-finding the balance between being aside from the world and being fully engaged with it. For SEPs-in-training, I am approved by SEI to provide Personal Sessions and Individual Case Consultations at the Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced Levels. And otherwise, I am currently available for consultation only. My practice time is currently dedicated to the support of those who are supporting others: practitioners, therapists, parents, teachers, clergy, caregivers, etc. [updated: July 21, 2024]
